Fifth-grade spats
As we watch Trump and Musk engage in their fifth-grade spats, I can't help but think of Luke's story about Herod and Pilate.
They didn't like each other and then when they had to deal with Jesus they liked each other. "That same day Herod and Pilate became friends with each other, before this they had been enemies." People preoccupied with power and with themselves find others who are preoccupied with power and with themselves fascinating, as long as they serve their purposes. And then, not so fascinating. I'll bet that Herod and Pilate didn't stay friends for too long.
