Science and faith are friends!
I had a great conversation with a scientist the other day.
He told me that it has been science that has brought him more fully into faith. What the microscope can reveal, what we are learning about the human brain, what is being discovered about the size of the universe--all of this leads him (us) to be flabbergasted by life, to be wowed by it. Living in awe is fundamentally the call of religion. Too bad so many Christians are busy denying the insights of science. Too bad so many churches teach the 6000-year-old view of the universe. Too bad many religious folks are behind the anti-vaccine movement. Too bad the Creation Museum folks want us to believe that dinosaurs were on the ark with Noah. Come on! Science and faith are not enemies. They can be best of friends.
